Tina was not always an entrepreneur. After joining her husband, Gene, in their first business venture, however, she found herself on a new path—one where the unknown could be exciting rather than intimidating.

Tina was a wife and mother first, so returning to work outside the home after 14 years was a major step. Looking back, she often says that the experience was exciting and well worth the time and emotional investment.

A few years later, Tina found herself working remotely with ProTrainings, a fun Michigan-based company. The experience allowed her to continue growing professionally while remaining connected to the life she had built with her family.

Anyone who knows Tina knows that she enjoys being creative and keeping her hands busy. There is usually a crochet project nearby to prove it!

The idea for Yesterday and Always came to Tina and Gene while they were searching for a new opportunity—something exciting that could also fill a meaningful need. They were immediately drawn to the idea of helping people turn their favorite photographs into keepsakes they could see and enjoy every day.

Tina began exploring the possibilities and developing the business while Gene continued building CabinCare, his newly rebranded company serving the beautiful Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.

The deeper meaning behind Yesterday and Always became especially clear after Gene's dad passed away. As the family prepared for his celebration of life, they gathered more than 500 photographs for a memorial reel. The final presentation was narrowed to approximately 200, but the other 300-plus photographs still held memories and meaning beyond what the family could put into words.

What stayed with Tina and Gene was the realization that most of those treasured photographs had been sitting unseen on their phones, while a few others had been rediscovered in old photo albums. These moments were too important to remain hidden away.

They knew that needed to change for their family—but how? Yesterday and Always gave them an answer. By turning meaningful photographs into keepsakes that can be seen and enjoyed every day, they found a way to bring their own memories back into view while helping other families escape the same "photo trap."

Since creating the plan for Yesterday and Always, Tina and Gene have moved forward with the energy of an eagle taking flight and a shared commitment to getting every detail right. What began as an exciting business idea has grown into something deeply personal: a heartfelt mission centered on preserving the people, places, and moments that matter most.

For Tina and Gene, Yesterday and Always is about more than making photo magnets. It is about keeping the faces, stories, and moments we love present in our everyday lives.
